Man struck, killed in Jefferson County overnight
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Desoto man is dead after being struck by a car in Jefferson County, police say.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 12:25 a.m. on Highway 141 just north of Romain Creek Road.
A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on Missouri 141 south of Fiedler Lane when the car struck a man walking in the road, in lane two of 141. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity has not been released, but it is known that he was 50 years old and from Desoto, Missouri.
The Jeep involved remained on the scene.
At this time, the southbound lanes of 141 are closed while the investigation continues.
