Man shot, killed in North City Monday night
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man died in a shooting that occurred in North City on Monday night.
The shooting happened in the 8100 block of Pelham, which is in the Baden neighborhood, around 9:20 p.m. Police say this was a robbery that turned into a shooting. A man was found dead with a gunshot wound.
The SWAT team was called in after the suspect locked himself inside a home; however, nobody was taken into custody.
According to police, an investigation revealed that the victim was possibly robbed before the shooting. Police say a suspect(s) may have been barricaded at a home in the 700 block of Baden after the shooting.
SWAT officers were requested and searched the residence; however, no one was found in the home.
The investigation into the full circumstances of the incident remains ongoing.
