2nd suspect charged in St. Louis teenager’s shooting death
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A second suspect has been charged in the December 2024 shooting death of Romel White.
White, 17, died after being found shot in the 3600 block of Minnesota Avenue on Dec. 23, 2024.
A witness told investigators that a group of people were at a house on Pennsylvania when an argument occurred between several people, and Marcus Antoine Allen and Corion Harris-Wicks were planning to kill White that day. The witness said Allen and Harris-Wicks talked about the killing at the home and went to a store.
Police said that while walking back to the home, the suspects held back from the group, and Allen gave Harris-Wicks a gun. After getting the gun, Harris-Wicks pointed it at White and attempted to shoot him, but the gun jammed.
According to investigators, Harris-Wicks gave the gun back to Allen, who racked it and handed it back. Harris-Wicks then allegedly shot White.
Allen and Harris-Wicks are each charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
