Person hospitalized after overnight house fire in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - One person was hospitalized overnight after a house fire in north St. Louis.
The St. Louis Fire Department says crews responded to a call for persons trapped in the 4900 block of Arlington around 5 a.m.
The first companies on scene arrived to heavy fire from the back of the home. One person was on the balcony roof and was helped down by firefighters using a ladder.
He was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation and other unknown injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
