ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Red Cross has opened another shelter for victims of the May 16 tornado that hit parts of the St. Louis area.

The organization has opened a shelter at the Urban’s League Water campus, which is located at 2141 Bissell St. in North City. Four other shelters are in operation in the St. Louis area:

  • Friendly Temple Outreach Center, 6356 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Louis, MO
  • Refresh Community Church, 829 N. Hanley Rd., St. Louis, MO
  • Ferguson Church of the Nazarene (formerly at 12th & Park Recreation Center), 1309 Elizabeth, Ferguson, MO
  • Peter and Paul Community Services (Garfield Building), 2612 Wyoming, St. Louis, MO

The Red Cross said anyone displaced by the tornado is encouraged to come to the shelters for snacks, water, meals and a safe place to stay.

The Red Cross says proof of residency or ID is not needed to be itted to one of their shelters.
