ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Cardinals announced a flurry of roster moves ahead of Saturday afternoon’s game against the Rangers in Arlington, Texas. Among them was the revelation of an injury for outfielder Jordan Walker.

Walker landed on the injured list Saturday with left wrist inflammation. The timing for Walker is unfortunate, as he had been swinging a hot bat at the plate recently, logging a .333 batting average and .879 OPS since May 14, and a .926 mark over his past five games.

Although outfielder Michael Siani has been putting together solid offensive numbers in Memphis, the Cardinals opted for a right-handed hitting outfielder to replace Walker on the active roster. The Cardinals selected the contract of 26-year-old Ryan Vilade, who has an .851 OPS this season with Triple-A Memphis.

On the pitching side, the Cardinals have swapped out right-hander Gordon Graceffo in favor of Roddery Munoz for the St. Louis bullpen. Graceffo gave up four runs in an inning of work in Friday night’s loss, and carries a 7.47 ERA in the big leagues on the season.
