Man drove dangerously, nearly hitting St. Louis officer, police say
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis police have arrested a man accused of driving dangerously and nearly hitting an officer.
On May 25, officers were called to the area of 2nd Street and Shenandoah for a report of vehicles racing and doing donuts. When officers arrived, they saw a Chrysler 300 speeding away while disobeying traffic laws.
Officers started to deploy spike strips around 3rd and Lafayette, but the driver slowed down, maneuvered towards an officer and started to speed. The vehicle nearly hit the officer, who was still able to deploy spike strips and deflate the tires.

Larreon Thompson, 20, was eventually arrested after the vehicle stopped at Plover and Strafford. He was charged with resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing and first-degree assault.
