PALMETTO, Fla. (WWSB/Gray Media) - A Florida man is facing charges in two counties after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Julian Jaramillo, 21, used a tracking device placed inside his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle to track her to a home in the Ruskin area on May 27.

Deputies say Jaramillo stole the woman’s car keys when she came out of the house and surveillance video showed him forcibly shoving her into the trunk of her vehicle and driving off.

Jaramillo then drove to his home in Palmetto, where he allegedly held the victim against her will, authorities said.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the ongoing investigation and Jaramillo was stopped leaving his neighborhood with the victim in her vehicle and taken into custody.

Authorities said the woman sustained minor injuries in the kidnapping.

Jarmillo has been charged with domestic battery in Manatee County, along with carjacking, kidnapping, battery and domestic violence in Hillsborough County.

Jaramillo was booked in the Manatee County Jail and is currently awaiting extradition back to Hillsborough County.
