Woman accused of killing father of her children during custody exchange
MOSS BLUFF, La. (KPLC/Gray News) - A Louisiana woman is accused of killing the father of her children over the weekend.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the situation was a custody exchange gone wrong.
The woman, identified as 43-year-old Randolyn Allen, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Brett Daigle, 48.
Deputies said they arrived at a residence in the Moss Bluff area Saturday afternoon regarding a shooting. Allen fired a gun inside the home during the child custody exchange, striking Daigle several times.
Daigle was pronounced dead at the scene, with Allen taken into custody.
Calcasieu Parish authorities did not immediately share what prompted the shooting as their investigation continues.
