Dominic McLaughlin will play the lead as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will be Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will portray Ron Weasley.

The three are all newcomers to Hollywood.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint became Hollywood stars in those roles in the movies.

The TV series aims to be a faithful adaptation of the books.

More than 30,000 kids auditioned for the lead roles after HBO held an open casting call.

The filming for the series is expected to start this summer, with a streaming rollout on HBO Max expected in 2026.

The series is expected to stretch for seven seasons, one for each book in the franchise.
