First-ever U.S. National Handball Center being built in Hazelwood

HAZELWOOD, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A ribbon cutting was held in Hazelwood on Tuesday for the first-ever U.S. National Handball Center.

The center, located inside an old Spaulding Racquetball building on Dunn Road, will be the first dedicated handball facility in the country. Once complete, it will have nine handball courts, with two having glass walls for viewers.

Handball is an Olympic sport that is played in more than 180 countries.
