13-year-old dies from injuries sustained colliding with car while sledding

ANAMOSA, Iowa (KCRG/Gray News) - A teenager injured in a sledding accident in Iowa earlier this month has died.
In an accident report, police said 13-year-old Adam McWherter was going downhill on a sled when he crossed in front of a vehicle that was heading northbound on Buffalo Road on Jan. 10.
The 13-year-old was taken to the hospital after the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol has now confirmed Adam died on Saturday.
The Anamosa Wrestling Club held a fundraiser over the weekend to raise money for Adam’s family and that of another boy seriously injured in an unrelated accident.
