Inmate escapes by impersonating his brother, who was scheduled for release, troopers say

BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (WYMT/Gray News) - An inmate escaped by impersonating his brother, who was scheduled for release, according to authorities.

The Kentucky State Police said Jeffrey Harrison, 43, left the Three Forks Regional Jail on Friday.

Harrison escaped by impersonating his brother, who was scheduled for release.

Harrison is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 138 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, camouflage shoes and a black hat. He left the jail in a white Subaru.

Harrison was serving a sentence for promoting contraband in the first-degree.
