U.S. Marshals are still searching for this fugitive 50 years later
(CNN) - U.S. Marshals are hoping an age-progressed photo will lead to the capture of an escaped fugitive who has been on the run since 1973.
Lester Eubanks, now 81 years old, was serving life in prison for the 1965 rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl when he escaped from an Ohio penitentiary in 1973.
He was added to the U.S. Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2016.
The marshals worked with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on an age progression photo of Eubanks, updating it to what he may look like this year.
Eubanks was last seen in Southern California in the 1970s using the alias of Victor Young and may have worked as a janitor at Saint Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California, in the late 80s or early 90s.
Officials are offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to his arrest.
