(Gray News) – Phil Robertson, who was known for being on the A&E reality TV series “Duck Dynasty,” has died, according to his family. He was 79 years old.
Robertson’s son, Jase Robertson, took to X Sunday to announce his father’s death.
“My dad has gone to be with the Lord today!” the post reads. “He will be missed but we know he is in good hands, and our family is good because God is very good! We will see him again!”
Robertson’s death was also confirmed on his official Facebook page.
“We celebrate today that our husband, father, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” the Facebook post said in part. “He reminded us often of the words of Paul, ‘you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.’”
“Duck Dynasty” was a series which centered around the Robertson family, which built a multi-million dollar business in duck-calling. It ran from 2012 to 2017.
The series is expected to return this summer as “Duck Dynasty: The Revival.”
