Forest Park asking for volunteers for clean-up after storm damage

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The damage and debris from Friday’s storm is still extensive Thursday in Forest Park.

Crews are still working to clear safety hazards before volunteers can come in.

As of Thursday, Forest Park Forever is asking visitors to give them space and avoid work areas.

Several of the park’s paths are impacted, and even if they look clear, visitors need to be careful because limbs could fall from the trees above.

“The community rallied to restore Forest Park to what it looks like now, and I know we will do that again. We’re going to be able to plant lots of trees and repair landscapes. It’s just going to take a lot of time,” Dominik Jansky with Forest Park Forever said.
