ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Three people were charged Friday with stealing utility wire in an area of tornado-impacted north St. Louis.

The St. Louis Prosecutor’s Office charged 41-year-old Brandy Marwick, 23-year-old Drevon Rawson and 48-year-old Robert Maynard each with one count of stealing $750 or more and first-degree tresing.

According to a police affidavit, officers had been called to a location on San Francisco Avenue in north St. Louis for people stealing wire. When police arrived, they said a witness told them where the suspects had gone. Police located the three suspects, later identified as Marwick, Rawson and Maynard, in the parking lot for Save A Lot, placing large amounts of utility wire in the back of their truck.

A Save A Lot security guard told police the three suspects didn’t have permission to be in the lot. Marwick, Rawson and Maynard were arrested in the Save A Lot parking lot.

Police say the wire stolen was worth at least $750.
