ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization, has been in St. Louis offering assistance in north St. Louis City.

This week, they’ve been removing downed trees, clearing debris and putting tarps on roofs throughout St. Louis.

On Thursday, they worked on a home at Clarence and Ashland in North City.

If you’re in need, you can put in a request with Samaritan’s Purse, and they’ll come out and do an assessment, and then get to work on helping, all for free

“The overall mission is to love on the community, we want to do the physical work to get them back into their homes, but we also want to share Jesus with them, let them know they’re not forgotten, that we love them and are here to help them,” Jodie Yoder, Samaritan’s Purse Program Manager, said.

They have about 80 volunteers doing work in the St. Louis area. They help around the country and are also doing repairs in Kentucky after severe storms hit there.
