1 dead after motorcycle crash in south St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis man died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at around 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, a 1998 Honda Valkyrie was traveling eastbound on Missouri Route 366 near Girard Drive when a 2012 Ford Escape pulled out of a parking lot and crossed the eastbound lanes in an attempt to head west. The Honda driver’s line of vision was obstructed by another car, and the Honda then struck the left side of the Ford.

The driver of the Honda, a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

The crash was investigated by MSHP Troop C.
