NFL players to compete in flag football in 2028 Olympics

(CNN) - Big news for fans of both football and the Olympics.
NFL players will be eligible to compete in flag football at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
The NFL owners voted to allow the rule change on Tuesday.
A 75% majority vote in favor was required to the motion.
According to the proposal, no more than one player from each team can participate in the event.
This will be the Olympic debut for flag football.
