Russell County Coroner Mark Coots said Debra Edelman was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon in Jamestown, Kentucky.

Edelman’s death appears to be connected to carbon monoxide poisoning from using a generator during a power outage during severe weather on Friday.

Coots said the generator had not been turned on for more than a year and put out “bad air.”

Edelman’s death is under investigation.
