ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The National Weather Service (NWS) says four tornadoes formed south of St. Louis when storms moved through on Monday night.

An EF-1 tornado was confirmed that moved from Iron County north into Washington County Missouri. Another EF-1 tornado was confirmed near the Iron County-St. Francois County border in the Iron Mountain Lake area. Then, a third EF-1 tornado was confirmed west of Prairie Du Rocher, Illinois. An EF-0 touched down in northern Ste. Genevieve County, Mo.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is still surveying damage in northeastern Washington County, Mo. and may investigate an area of southern Jefferson County where a funnel cloud was reported.

The four tornadoes on Monday come amid an active year of tornadic activity in the St. Louis area. So far, 32 tornadoes have been confirmed in the First Alert 4 viewing area in 2025. The yearly average is 17.
