Surveying the areas hit hardest by Friday’s tornado

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - First Alert 4 Chief Meteorologist Steve Templeton went to the areas hardest hit by Friday’s tornado.

At Marcus and St. Louis Avenue in north St. Louis, the EF3 tornado removed a roof and knocked down walls, leaving behind a pile of bricks.

Tree damage and roof damage is widespread and extensive. Many brick homes have either partial or full collapse of exterior walls leaving piles of bricks in the path of the destructive tornado.

Residents described their nightmare come true and shared their messages as they move forward.
