ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Friday’s storms made a fast track across the region, and First Alert 4 has heard from many St. Louis residents who said they never heard the tornado sirens going off, despite a tornado warning being issued.
First Alert 4 asked St. Louis Emergency Management officials about the sirens and whether they were working.
“We’ve had a lot of questions about that, and we are looking into that, but our primary goal remains life safety at this point and getting through the survey with the National Weather Service,” Sarah Russell, the commissioner of the St. Louis Emergency Management, said.
