Saint Louis Zoo will reopen Monday
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Saint Louis Zoo will reopen on Monday, May 19, after severe storms caused damage to many areas of the city and metro area Friday.
The zoo will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Some attractions and habitats, including the Emerson Zooline Railroad, butterfly house, and River’s Edge area will still be closed.
A radar-confirmed tornado ed through the metro area Friday afternoon, and multiple trees are down in Forest Park, where the Zoo is located.
Early Saturday, the Missouri History Museum said that their library and research center are closed as they assess damage.
First Alert 4 has news crews at several locations and will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
