Man sentenced to 30 years for home invasion, following history of robbery

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis man was sentenced for a 2018 home invasion.

Raymond L. Hardge, 43, of was convicted on March 5 of first-degree robbery, a Class A felony. The charges come in connection with an armed home invasion and theft of money and guns in Crestwood, Missouri, on February 25, 2018.

On May 15, Hardge was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

According to court documents, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police found Hardge with the stolen guns in March 2019, and Hazelwood Police found him with the stolen guns in May 2019.

Court documents say the jury was shown through geolocation data, cell site activations, and cell phone data that Hardge and an accomplice went by the home they were going to rob multiple times before the robbery.

In a prior case in 2004, Hardge pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary, and felonious restraint.

The St. Louis County Police Department investigated both instances.
