Man killed, another injured in overnight shooting in Mark Twain Neighborhood

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed in north St. Louis overnight.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a man was killed and another injured in a shooting in north St. Louis overnight.

According to SLMPD, the shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 5000 block of Queens Avenue. At the scene, police found a 44-year-old man lying on the curb, shot. EMS took the man to the hospital, where he died an hour later.

At around 9 a.m. Friday, police said a person, a 46-year-old man, showed up to the hospital with gunshot wounds and said he was shot at the 5000 block of Queens Avenue. Police say he was treated and has since been released from the hospital.

The Homicide Unit has been requested to investigate.
