More victims sought after St. Louis County principal charged of misconduct with students
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Officials in St. Louis County are searching for more victims after a principal was accused of having sexual misconduct with his students.
Cedric Gerald is being held on a $1 million bond after being charged with sexual trafficking of a child, sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography, attempted statutory sodomy, sexual misconduct involving a child under 15, sexual with a student, harassment and two counts of statutory sodomy.
Gerald, 48, had been a principal at Westview Middle School in north St. Louis County since 2023.
On Thursday, prosecutors said that parents have been reaching out, believing their children may have also been victims. Detectives are interviewing those who have ed authorities.
On May 19, representatives from a range of agencies will be at a community event for parents and caregivers who suspect their child may be a victim of physical or sexual abuse. The event will run from 4-6 p.m. at the Kathy J. Weinman Child Advocacy Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis’ South Campus.
