Florida man gored by bison at Yellowstone National Park

MAMMOTH SPRINGS, Wyo. (KKTV/Gray News) - A man was injured by a bison on Sunday at Yellowstone National Park.

The National Park Service said a 47-year-old man from Cape Coral, Florida, was gored by a bison in the Lake Village area of the park around 3:15 p.m.

According to officials, the man approached the bison too closely.

Officials said the man was treated for minor injuries by emergency medical personnel.

This incident is under investigation.

Park officials said this was the first reported incident of a person injured by a bison in 2025. Two bison-related injuries were reported in 2024, and one was reported in 2023.
