ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) - A St. Louis County native has been selected to enter the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame.

Steve Cash is a four-time Paralympian in sled hockey for Team USA, winning three gold medals and one bronze medal. He was named the tournament MVP during the Paralympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010 and was the recipient of the 2009 USOC’s Paralympic SportsMan of the Year and 2010 ESPY for Best Male Athlete with a Disability.

The Overland native had his right leg amputated at the age of 3 due to osteosarcoma.

Cash ed Serena Williams, Gabby Douglas, Marla Runyan and Mike Krzyzewski in being inducted this July.
