CITY SC announces U.S. Open Cup match at Energizer Park
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis CITY SC will face off against Union Omaha at Energizer Park on May 7 at 7 p.m.
CITY will be playing Omaha in round 32 of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
“Given the incredible history of the Open Cup in St. Louis, we know it is an important competition for our fans. And it is extremely important to our players too,” St. Louis CITY SC’s sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said. “Tournaments give us the chance to win trophies and showcase the team outside of regular league play. A deep run is something we’d love to be able to give our fans, both old and new.”
During CITY’s inaugural season in 2023, the team similarly faced off against Union Omaha, winning that match 5-1 at home.
