(Gray News) - Customers have been advised to throw away celery sticks sold at Walmart because of possible listeria contamination.

A single lot of Marketside Celery Sticks was recalled after a sample of the product tested positive for listeria, according to an advisory from the Food and Drug istration.

The product’s manufacturer, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc., issued the “precautionary advisory” on April 10. They said the potential contamination was discovered by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, conducting random testing at a Georgia location.

No illnesses have been reported, according to the FDA.

The impacted washed and ready-to-eat “bundle packs” were sold in 4-inch, 1.6-ounce bags with the “best if used by” date of March 23, 2025.

The advisory said that although the product is past its best-by date and is no longer sold in stores, consumers could have frozen it to use later.

The bags can be identified by a UPC code of 68112116150 and a Lot Code of P047650. They were sold at Walmart locations in 29 states, including Alabama, Florida, Kansas, and Texas.

Consumers who still have the celery sticks are advised not to eat them and to throw the bags away.
