CITY SC signs Emil Jääskeläinen on short-term loan from CITY2

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - St. Louis CITY SC announced Saturday they have signed CITY2 forward Emil Jääskeläinen on a short-term loan.

The team said Jääskeläinen will be available for Saturday’s match against Sporting KC.

Jääskeläinen trained with the St. Louis first team before the season started, including two friendly matches, before g on with CITY2.

In 2024, Jääskeläinen was with the University of Akron, where he led the NCAA with 23 goals and eight assists goals in 21 matches.

Jääskeläinen’s g comes as CITY has seven players who will not be available for Saturday’s derby match.

Rasmus Alm, Roman Bürki, Chris Durkin, Jannes Horn, Jay Reid and Tomas Totland are out with injuries. Eduard Löwen will also be out for Saturday’s match for an unspecified non-injury reason.
