Prevent+Ed gives students building blocks to prevent drug use

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4)—Prevent+Ed’s mission is more than helping people recover from addiction; it also involves teaching people skills to stop drug use in the first place.
The nonprofit teaches the youngest community important building blocks like healthy relationships, positive decision making and self-respect. In Prevent+Ed’s kindergarten through fifth-grade program, drugs and alcohol are rarely mentioned. Instead, there is a focus on being a good friend and learning to manage feelings.
On March 13, First Alert 4 will hold a Day of Giving to benefit Prevent+Ed.
