St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones is seeking a second term. She was sworn in on April 20, 2021, as the first female African American mayor in the City’s history. Before taking the helm, she was the St. Louis City Treasurer from 2013-2021. Prior to that, she served the St. Louis area as a Missouri State Representative.
Alderwoman Cara Spencer lost to Jones in the general election in 2021. Spencer has been an alderwoman since 2015 and currently represents parts of downtown and south St. Louis.
St. Louis Recorder of Deeds Michael Butler was a Missouri State Representative from 2013 to 2019 and the chair of the Missouri Democratic Party from 2020 until 2023.
