Mahomes, Kelce among Kansas City Chiefs who won’t play against Denver

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Chiefs released the official inactive list ahead of Sunday afternoon’s game in Denver.

The list is not surprising since head coach announced he planned to sit many starters. Now that decision is an official one.

Inactive players for the game include:

  • QB Patrick Mahomes
  • TE Travis Kelce
  • DT Chris Jones
  • OT Jawaan Taylor
  • RB Isiah Pacheco
  • CB Trent McDuffie
  • DE George Karlaftis

The announcement means Mahomes will not for 4,000 yards this season. He had 3,928 yards going into Sunday’s game in Denver.

Kelce will not reach 100 receptions during the regular season. He will finish with 97 since he is not active for Sunday’s game.

Meanwhile, DeAndre Hopkins is expected to play and will get a chance to add $250,000 in bonuses.
