Luther Burden III to skip bowl game, declare for NFL draft
COLUMBIA, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Mizzou star wide receiver Luther Burden III is declaring for the NFL draft, he announced on Instagram Monday afternoon. The announcement means he will not play in the team’s bowl game.
The announcement from Burden III, a junior who went to East St. Louis High School, is not surprising with many believing he walked off Faurot Field for the final time after Mizzou defeated Arkansas on Saturday.
In 2023, Burden III has caught 61 es for 676 yards and six touchdowns, a drop from 2023, when he had his best statistical season, he caught 86 es for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns. Statistically, he ranks among the top Mizzou receivers of all time.
Many draft rankings have Burden III as one of the most highly rated NFL receiving prospects.
