Happy Gilmore 2: Travis Kelce to appear on a big screen near you

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The price is right for the Chiefs star tight end.
Actor Adam Sandler confirmed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Tuesday night that Travis Kelce would make an appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2.”
“We have a nice something for Travis,” Sandler said. “He’s gonna come by, and he’s cool. A very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. He’s a stud and he’s so funny.”
Kelce had previously expressed an interest in appearing on the Adam Sandler sequel.
“I didn’t even know there was a job opening on Happy Gilmore 2. I’ll be a f— extra. Anything to get around ‘Happy Gilmore,’ an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” Kelce said on his "New Heights podcast" in May.
Netflix has not yet announced a “Happy Gilmore 2″ release date.
The future NFL Hall of Fame tight end is making a name for himself on the screen — off the field. He is making his first major acting appearance in the new FX horror series “Grotesquerie,” which will debut Sept. 25.

Kelce will also host the new game show “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?”
Variety also reported that Kelce is in talks to lead the action-comedy “Loose Cannons” at Lionsgate. “John Wick” series director Chad Stahelski will produce through his 87Eleven Entertainment banner, along with Alex Young and Jazon Spitz.
