1 dead, 2 injured in Downtown West shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and two people injured Sunday.

Police responded to the 600 block of 15th Street at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, for a call for a shooting in that location. Paramedics pronounced 20-year-old Paul Kai Jr. dead at the scene.

First responders reported that two people were also injured, a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment. The man was listed as being in critical, unstable condition. The woman was listed as in stable condition.

The homicide unit is handling the investigation. First Alert 4 will provide updates when available.
