CITY SC falls to LAFC, as missed penalty kick, disallowed goal loom large in 2-0 loss

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Two missed first-half chances came back to bite CitySC as they fell to LAFC 2-0 at CITYPark on Wednesday night.
Around 16 minutes in, a handball in the box led to a João Klauss penalty kick, but it was stopped by LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
CitySC also missed a big chance in extra time at end of the first half. A goal that was scored by Anthony Markanich was disallowed after review.
LAFC scored in the 58th minute and in extra time of the second half. The loss snaps CitySC’s five-game undefeated streak.
