Swimming to be banned at Jefferson County spot where two recently drowned

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Jefferson County park where two people drowned in 2023 is undergoing some changes.
Rockford Beach Park is officially changing its name to Rockford Park. Officials are also banning swimming, wading, drinking alcohol, flying drones and riding horses.
The actions come after two people drowned at the park last summer. Authorities say the current on the Big River is too strong for swimming, causing people to get trapped underwater.
